AAA

Most of us have heard about AAA. Many of us have relied on them to get us out of trouble, whether it be a locked car or a broken down vehicle on the side of the road. But most of us don't even know what AAA stands for. Automobile Association of America has been around for almost 100 years and has been helping motorists for just as long. Did you know that AAA has an office right here in the neighborhood, just east of the Sunrise Blvd and Flamingo Rd intersection?

That's right, right around the corner. They are open M-F, 9:00-6:00. It is very unfortunate that they are not open later and especially on weekends since that is when the majority of people get of work and most of the tourists come.

Still, it is very conveniet to have their office nearby. AAA is not only a helping hand on the road but they provide discounts to numerous attractions throughout Florida as well as the entire nation. Going to Disnay, Universal Studios, or Busch Gardens? Make sure to stop by AAA Auto Club South in Plantation to get your discounted tickets and save big bucks. I recently bought Kennedy Space Center tickets from them. Since I didn't get a chance to go, I returned my tickets and got my full refund back. (You get 90 days to return unused tickets).

I also love their Tourbooks. If I am traveling somewhere, I don't live home without one. Next trip? Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, here we come....

New attractions at Orlando and Tampa theme parks:

Also, new parade "Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun" featuring characters from Disney-Pixar movies such as Monsters, Inc., Up, Toy Story, A Bug's Life.

Magic Kingdom - get a free FastPass to meet-and-greet with Mickey Mouse, available at the Town Center Theater near the park's entrance.
