Sunrise Apartment Village is a rental community approved for the empty lot directly west of the Artesia. It's bordered by Sawgrass Expressway to the north and by Pat Salerno Dr. to the west. Sunrise Apartment Village is to be built in 2 phases, the first phase has already been approved and the construction has started at the end of June. This phase will have 309 highrise and 192 garden apartments, being built at a total cost of $78 million. For the second phase, the city approved 252 highrise units but siteplan has been filed with the city. Follow this page for construction updates and pictures. You can also view live video feed of the construction on this page. The collection of buildings will be a 3-5 stories high with built in parking garages and a pair of 10-story towers. The towers are part of the second phase and it appears won't be built anytime soon, if ever.

This luxury rental community by Equity Residential (NYSE:EQR) is located directly across the street from the Sawgrass Mills Mall and The Oasis. It is within walking distance to the BankAtlantic Center with Florida Panthers hockey and numerous other events and concerts all year round.  Its Urban Sawgrass location provides for convinient access to southbound and northbound Sawgrass Expressway to I-595 and I-75 highways. The Flamingo Rd. linear park to the east of Artesia provides a beautiful setting for morning and evening jogs or bike rides and contains exercise equipment and gazebos.

Sunrise Apartment Village is currently under construction.
