Walk Score
Thursday, 21 July 2011 07:23

Photo: Where is the sidewalk? Missing sidewalk between Tao Sawgrass, Sawgrass Mills Mall and Bahama Breeze.

Guess what the 'Walk Score' for Tao Sawgrass is?  While it seems that everything is nearby, the grocery store, the post office, the movie theater, all the shopping you ever want to do and the Florida Panthers of the NHL play across the street, Tao Sawgrass still scores a miserable 32 out of 100 according to Btw, can't wait for the new Florida Panthers hockey season to start. The coach and team is new. It's going to be amazing. Hockey - the coolest game on Earth.

Give Back To Schools - 200 Markers Pack Under $30
Friday, 15 July 2011 08:49

Many of us have young children, grandchildren or niblings - that's nephews and nieces if you have not heard. :-)

Before we hit the Sawgrass Mall to do some personal shopping this weekend (I am not judging), here is a great opportunity to give back to your child's school or preschool. Amazon offers a Eberhard Faber Watercolor Markers School Pack (a case of 200 markers) for only $29.99. That should last your child's whole class a while - and save your walls too.

Panthers installing red seats at the arena
Tuesday, 26 July 2011 14:58

Florida Panthers are converting all seats in the lower bowl at the BankAtlantic Center to a red color. Previously the seats featured a dark green finish. The seats will also feature a Zimmerman Advertising logo, the creators behind the "We See Red" marketing campaign.

Personally, I am not a fan of the new color. I like it on the 'new' red jerseys but the seats are too much. They should have saved the money the spend on reupholstering the seats and reduced the ticket prices accordingly, thus getting more people to go to the games.

Little Train at Sawgrass
Monday, 18 July 2011 19:46

Check out this little train at Sawgrass Mills. Usually they run on tracks in a circle, this one doesn't. It has rubber wheels and the operator has the freedom of choosing the route and where to make the turns. Pretty cool. Located at the east side of the mall, next to BrandsMart USA, SuperTarget and JCPenney Outlet.

Sawgrass Mills charging for parking Rihanna concert goers

If you plan to park at Sawgrass Mills Mall for the Rihanna concert tonight, you might want to reconsider. Follow my Twits for latest developments

Live video feed from atop Tao

I have set up a live video feed from the top of Tao, looking over the new construction site of the Sunrise Apartment Village complex. Unfortunately the feed is not on 24/7 yet but that will change soon. During Florida Panthers hockey games, concerts and events you'll be able to see the scene at the front of the BankAtlantic Center. During other times you can see the Sawgrass Mills Mall, the Oasis, Artesia and of course the beautiful Everglades and sunsets.
